Dreaming with my eyes open
I have been learning to play Drums since I was 5 yrs old and it is my passion. Music cuts across geographic, linguistic, political, economic and social barriers. I have been privileged to have my parents support my music education. But, I see there are many other kids less fortunate than me, who have the hunger to learn, but don’t have the resources.
400 million Indian girls and boys between 8-17 years study in the Government run public school system. They receive ‘rote-learning’ based education, which does not prepare its students for the real world. Sarva offers paid online music lessons at lower than market rates to those who can afford, and makes change happen by utilising most of the revenue generated to impart globally recognised, vocational music education & training to under-resourced youth free of cost. For every paying learner, we can serve up to five non-paying learners! This sets them on the path of socio-economic independence by choosing music as a career.
Sarva Foundation is my vehicle to fill the institutional void created by the public education system. Its goal is to provide vocational music education to millions of under-served youth around the world in order to make them socio-economically independent. My mission is to transfer knowledge and wealth from the top to the bottom of the pyramid.

I love reading, writing, fencing, doodling and surfing the web. I am proficient in making posters, newsletters, magazines, brochures and I can also edit videos. In my spare time, I enjoy taking online courses and teaching English and Maths at an NGO. At Sarva, I’m responsible for fundraising, content creation, social media and have recently become a Guitar Mentor for our underprivileged learners.
I am a strong supporter of women's rights and would like to help those living in poverty as much as I can.
