We celebrated Guru Purnima - the day of the Guru with a few of our learners at Aravindam India. While we could not meet all our learners, it was a special moment to be honoured by them, and to give them our best wishes for their musical journey ahead. We are truly blessed!

Sarva can now accept tax deductible donations!

We are delighted to share that Sarva Foundation is now eligible to receive tax deductible donations under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act. We thank all our patrons for their valuable support, and look forward to the milestone in our journey to make change happened through the power of music!

We sign up our 100th learner for RSL Exams!

Maadhav’s first batch was 4 students in June 2020; less than 2 years later, we registered our 100th learner for the RSL Exams, when we signed up Sagar Kumar. We salute our beloved ‘Aravindams’ for their grit, determination, resilience, perseverance and unconditional love — you are our role models! We also thank the Sarva Foundation Patrons for their generous contributions, and unrelenting support.

RSL High Achievers Concert.

90% of Sarva’s learners achieve ‘Passed with Distinction’ results. 8 of them have been adjudged ‘RSL India High Achievers’. This time, it was Maadhav’s turn to perform at the RSL High Achievers India Concert. He responded with a powerful piece from his Grade 8 curriculum.

What better way to explain Sarva’s model than by showing an online class being conducted by Maadhav, followed by an offline class being conducted by one of Sarva’s Student Volunteer Mentors. Aarav Kapoor is seen watching over Anshu, while he follows Maadhav’s ‘play along’ YouTube video in the Music Room we dedicated to our beloved Aravindam learners. It’s s such a joy to see the circular model in real-time!

More learners will create more trainers.

These four Aravindam learners have been trained by Sarva Student Led Club’s Volunteer Student Mentors - Devesh Sharma and Shiv Chopra. One of them - Sagar Kumar was also announced by RSL High Achiever 2021. All four are now Trainers for Grade Debut and Grade 1 students, exemplifying Sarva’s ‘Train The Trainer’ pedagogy. The snowball is growing by the day!

Third year running at Aravindam!

We’re stoked to have completed another year as Volunteers at Aravindam India Foundation. Dr Abrol & his team of super-dedicated social impact workers are an inspiration to us and we aspire to walk in their footsteps on our journey to make change happen!

We win Huron University’s ‘Global Leader with Heart Challenge’

I’m absolutely thrilled to share that I have won the First Prize at Huron University’s ‘Global Leader with Heart Challenge’. Not only is it a big honour to win this global challenge, but also I have been awarded a $5500 scholarship and a $1500 research grant to pursue my dream of growing Sarva Foundation.

A big shout-out to Dr Lokesh Abrol of our beloved Aravindam Gurukul for believing in me, to Coach Krishnan Raman for taking me under his wing, to my mentors Sangeeta Bavi and Sameer Arora Sir for helping me refine my pitch, to Amara Sood for her never-ending support despite my shortcomings, to Shiv Nadar School for making these opportunities available to me and to Dr Barry Craig, Dr Sara MacDonald, Dr Neil Bradford, Mr Moustafa Ezz for considering me worthy of the award.😊

It’s early days, but I’m on my way to making my own little dent on the universe.

Double achievement!

Sarva got its third RSL High Achiever, when our Aravindam Gurukul learner Sagar Kumar was announced for Debut Grade. At the same time, Maadhav - as a RSL student - became RSL High Achiever for Grade 8. We are so proud!

Sarva at Soulfest

Sarva participated in Soulfest at Shiv Nadar School Gurgaon. This event was part of the year-long Decennial celebration of the school. We shared our journey, including what inspired us to start Sarva, our mission and vision, how far we have come and our learnings thus far.

Our project was voted one of the Top 10 projects of SNSG by a panel consisting of an educator, a school leader, an alumnus and a parent rep to ensure multiple perspectives. It was also awarded under the “Meaningful Citizenship’ theme and featured at the Soulfest Culmination event of all three branches of Shiv Nadar School - https://soulfest.sns.edu.in/themes/meaningful-citizenship.

Our learners performed at SNS CAS Annual Day.

Lakshya and Tanish were invited to perform at the Shiv Nadar School CAS Annual Day 2021 celebration. It was a proud moment for us to be featured at this prestigious event. Please watch from 1:03:06 to 1:07:13 and from 1:24:35 to 1:24:53.

Sarva is invited to an interactive session on VUTV.

We were privileged to be invited to share our social impact journey by Vijaybhoomi University on its VUTV platform. It was an excellent experience and we really enjoyed interacting with the students of the Business School and the True School of Music at the institution.

Sarva participates in MIT Solv[ED]’s Youth Innovation Challenge.

More ‘Passed with Distinction’ results!

The first batch of Drum learners trained by Devesh Sharma and Shiv Chopra - our SNS Volunteer Student Mentors have performed brilliantly in their RSL Debut Grade Exams. Sarva is proud to deliver over 90% ‘Passed with Distinction’ results for our learners!

Music Room inaugurated!

It gives us immense pleasure to share that we inaugurated the Sarva Music Room at Aravindam Foundation Gurukul, Gurugram today.

We applied ‘frugal innovation’ practices by using recycled bricks to save cost and the environment. The egg trays mounted on the walls are inexpensive and help to provide good acoustics by absorbing and reflecting sound due to their design.

The total cost of the project was ₹120,000 and the entire amount was raised from donations collected and revenue received over the last few months.

While this is a milestone event in our journey, we feel that we’re just getting started!

We begin construction of the Music Room at Aravindam Gurukul

Namaste. I’m thrilled to share that thanks to the generous personal contributions received from the Microsoft India Leadership Team, we have begun the construction work of a Music Room for our learners.

This facility will provide a safe and acoustically balanced space for the students to hone their vocational music skills, as they train to become music professionals.

At Sarva, we’re making change happen - one music lesson at a time.
